Joe came up with an idea to mix metal with Holiday music and released it on his album titled „Christmas at the Devil’s House“ (2007). Two tracks are based on Gustav Theodore Holst’s suite „The Planets“, the one is his original song and the rest, as the aforementioned instrumental, are traditional carols.

The core of the project is/was consisted of Savatage members: Chris Caffery, Al Pitrelli, Alex Skolnick, Johnny Lee Middleton, Jeff Plate and Zak Stevens. Obviously, there were also many guest musicians like Vitalij Kuprij, Mark Wood or Anna Phoebe of Jethro Tull fame.
The first track comes from the debut „Christmas Eve & Other Stories“ (1996). Its successor „Christmas Attic“ was recorded in 1998 and it is one of the best-selling albums with Holiday music in the history of the music industry. Then the fathers of Trans-Siberian Orchestra decided to base the lyrical and instrumental concept on the story of the last day of Ludwig van Beethoven’s life. It was released in 2000 under the title „Beethoven’s Last Night“. The second instrumental comes from „The Lost Christmas Eve“ published in 2004. It gained a great popularity on the Internet due to Carson Williams' clip to the track. He specializes in the light shows synchronized with music and made use of his talent preparing the clip. The project became so popular that the world’s biggest retail shop chain Wal-Mart signed the exclusive deal for distributing the 6-track sampler „Trans-Siberian Orchestra“ (2007). The year 2009 brought their new 2-disc „Night Castle“ along with a brand new logo.

She is also famous for the cooperation with movie composers - Harold Faltermeyer and Giorgio Moroder. She recorded her solo album only in 2006 and titled it „A Call From The Heart (Collection)“. Why did it take her so long? Marietta is a songwriting genius and one of the most sought-after songwriters on the globe. This is the right answer to the question. She re-worded one line and performed aforementioned Holiday tune alongside John Sanders. This track appears on her solo CD "A Call From The Heart (Collection)", and also appears on John Sanders' "A Grand Christmas" CD (2009).
